Winter Meetings
Our winter meetings are held in the Weald village Memorial Hall, pictured above and located at Long Barn Rd, Sevenoaks Weald, Sevenoaks TN14 6PT. We have an interesting programme of lectures, practical sessions and social events. Check here for details of our winter programme.
Our next meeting is on Wednesday 27th May 2026 at Weald Memorial Hall starting at 7:30pm, when we will have a demonstration of building flat pack brood boxes (supers are the same!). We will see how to put boxes together with square corners with aligned internal rails plus hear about hints and tips for successful construction.
Summer Meetings
We have two training Apiaries used for demonstrating beekeeping techniques, practices and seasonal requirements for use by members during the warmer months. Our meetings are free to attend and don’t require prior booking unless stated otherwise. Non-members are always welcome at meetings. Young persons (under 18) must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. If you are not certain of our Apiary locations, please contact the appropriate Apiary manager for details.
If you are contemplating starting beekeeping and buying equipment, we suggest you try a taster session first at one of our apiaries to see if you are comfortable handling bees, before making any outlay. If you don’t have a bee suit don’t worry as the Branch has a number of spare suits at each apiary. However, please come dressed in a long sleeved top, jeans/trousers tucked into wellingtons.
And remember of course apiary meetings are subject to changes due to weather, etc…, so always check the website ‘Notice Board‘ before setting out or with the Apiary Manager, in case of any changes.

Training
Each year we organise a series of training sessions to introduce those with an interest in keeping bees to learn more about what is involved. No previous experience is required for attending these sessions which will include a visit to one of our apiaries in the Spring when the weather warms up. For more information please click here.
